Wristwatch Review - IWC Portugieser Chronograph Classic

The IWC Portugieser Chronograph Classic is about the median by today's standards. Offered in either stainless steel or rose gold, the case is elegant with a touch of sportiness thanks to the broad, double-stepped case and round chronograph pushers. In addition, the watch is also available in two dial colors: silver and blue. Best IWC Portugieser clone watches online, buy replica watches at firstwatchclone.co.

The dial is completed by a railway track chapter ring, date window, applied Arabic numeral indexes, and elegant minute and hour leaf-shaped hands. On the dial side, we have a two-register layout with running seconds at 6 o'clock and, unique to this movement, a combined totalizer for chronograph hours and minutes at 12 o'clock. The familiar way of displaying the hours and minutes makes reading the elapsed chronograph time easier and more intuitive.

The in-house chronograph movement with chronograph hours and minutes displayed at 12 o'clock and including a flyback function. The caliber 89361 is part of the 89000 family of IWC movements, some of which are found in halo offerings such as the Ingenieur Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month. The calibre 89361 is manufactured in-house, offers a 68-hour power reserve, and can be seen in all its Geneva-striped glory through the display caseback.

IWC Portugieser Rattrapante Special Edition for Canada

The Portugieser Rattrapante is an icon in the IWC line thanks to its ability to measure a second simultaneous event at the same time as measuring the first event. The new IWC Canadian Protugieser Rattrapante  is crafted in stainless steel case with a silver-plated dial. The two chronograph totalizers are black, and the hands are red. On the caseback, IWC has created an engraving of the maple leaf—Canada’s most recognizable symbol. More replica IWC Portugieser.

To operate the timing of two events with the same start time but different ending times, one pushes the button at 2:00 to start the chronograph and begin the movement o the two stopwatch hands (mounted on top of one another). When the first event ends, the wearer pushes the button at 10:00, stopping the upper hand, but allowing the lower hand to continue its timing.

When the second event ends, the wearer hits the button at 2:00 again to stop that second hand. To bring the two hands together again, one activates the Rattrapante pushbutton at 10:00 a second time.

The IWC Portugieser Chronograph Rattrapante Edition “Boutique Canada” watch is powered by a mechanical chronograph movement with split-seconds hand for intermediate timing of the second event. The 40.9mm watch is a hand-wound piece that offers 44 hours of power reserve. It is water resistant to 3 bar.

Review IWC Aquatimer Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month 50 Years Aquatimer

The IWC Aquatimer Perpetual Calendar Digital Date-Month Edition 50 Years Aquatimer watch’s matte-black Ceratanium case is 49 mm in diameter and 19.5 mm thick, with a convex sapphire crystal over the dial that has been treated with nonreflective coating on both sides. More IWC Aquatimer replica watches.

Like all models in the Aquatimer collection since its revamp in 2014, it features an external/internal rotating bezel for setting dive times, paired with IWC’s proprietary SafeDive system, which ensures that the internal bezel can only be adjusted once the external bezel is rotated counterclockwise, thus preventing accidental movement of the dive scale and adding an extra layer of protection for a diver keeping track of his air supply underwater. The black rubber strap is outfitted with a quick-change system that enables the wearer to easily swap it out with another strap.

The dial, which is also predominantly black, with white and red highlights, displays this timepiece’s array of complications. The date and month are indicated in large numerals in the style of a digital watch, and because the watch is a perpetual calendar, it automatically recognizes the different lengths of months and even leap years, so no adjustments will need to be made to the date until 2100, provided the watch is kept running. In addition to the perpetual calendar, the watch is equipped with a flyback chronograph function, with elapsed hours and minutes tallied in a single subdial at 12 o’clock.

The movement IWC’s manufacture Caliber 89802, which for this timepiece has had several of its components — including its winding rotor — finished with black coating to harmonize with the overall matte black look. Visible behind a sapphire exhibition caseback, this self-winding movement has a 68-hour power reserve.
