2018 IWC: The Commemoration of the 150th Anniversary

IWC was founded in 1868. This year marks the 150th anniversary of this year. At this year's SIHH, all the new products launched by IWC are centered on the theme of the 150th anniversary.

The IWC "Palweber" 150th Anniversary special edition watch. Platinum models are limited to 25 pieces, red gold models are limited to 250 pieces, and stainless steel models are limited to 500 pieces. In all the commemorative watches, this "tribute to Powwoper" is quite meaningful, because this is the first digital watch in the history of the nations to carry jump-time figures. The dial design follows the early Poweberg pocket watch, with a jump window at the top, a large minute display window in the middle, and a small second hand below. The three are laid out in a straight line and are highly retro-inspired.

The “150th Anniversary” special edition of the IWC Portuguese Constant-Power Tourbillon is the most technically demanding watch in this series. It is equipped with a constant-power tourbillon for the first time and is equipped with a single moon phase profit and loss display. Another special edition of the 150th Anniversary of the Perpetual Calendar Tourbillon was the first to bring the perpetual calendar to the dial with the tourbillon. IWC relaunched the Da Vinci collection one year ago, reinterpreting the classic circular design style of the 1980s. Today, two new members have joined the Da Vinci Collection Special Edition, a white or blue dial with a lacquer finish. The "150th Anniversary" special edition of the Da Vinci automatic watch was equipped with a small second hand at the "6 o'clock" position and used the new IWC 82200 self-made movement for the first time. In addition, IWC has also launched a special edition of the 150th Anniversary of the Davinci Moonphase Automatic Watch. The case and moving lugs have a total of 206 diamonds, totaling 2.26 carats.
