First, the advanced Super-LumiNova® fluorescent coating pigments and adhesives are mixed, poured into a round mold, and then hardened through a specially developed curing process to give the material the durability of ceramics. The formed solid dial is then fixed to the soft iron dial blank. Finally, black scales, numbers and a badge resembling the "Ace of Spades" pattern in playing cards are printed on the dial.
